3-Gram Disposable Vapes — Are They Worth It? (The Maths Says Yes)
3-gram disposables
Three grams in a throwaway pen sounds like a gimmick until you work out the cost per gram. Then it stops sounding like one.
The short version
A 3-gram disposable costs $40–$50 and needs nothing else. A 1-gram cartridge costs $40 plus a battery. Per gram you are paying roughly a third as much. Kick THC at $40 is the cheapest way in.
Run the numbers yourself
This is the whole argument, and it’s not close.
| Product | Size | Price | Per gram | Battery? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kick THC | 3 g | $40 | $13.33 | Built in |
| Power Punch | 3 g | $44 | $14.67 | Built in |
| Boost 3g | 3 g | $50 | $16.67 | Built in |
| Cannavibe | 2 g | $35 | $17.50 | Built in |
| 1g distillate cart | 1 g | $40 | $40.00 | +$35 |
A single-gram cartridge is three times the price per gram of a 3-gram disposable, and that’s before you buy the battery to fire it.
So why does anyone buy cartridges?
Fair question, and there are real answers.
Strain choice. Cartridges come in far more varieties. We stock 1-gram distillates in Gelato, Wedding Cake, Cherry OG, Gushers, Chocolope, Strawberry Cough and Banana. Disposables come in whatever flavours the maker chose.
Less waste. A disposable is a battery you throw away. A cart-and-battery setup means one battery lasts you years.
Failure risk. If a disposable dies at gram two, you have lost the remaining oil. If a cart dies, you have lost a gram.
What to look for in a disposable
Rechargeable matters more than people expect. A 3-gram pen holds more oil than its battery can vaporise on one charge. If it does not recharge, you will not finish it — which quietly destroys the value argument.
What’s in it matters too. Distillate is cheap and potent but flavourless without added terpenes. Liquid diamonds and live resin cost more and taste considerably better.

Questions people actually ask
Are 3-gram disposable vapes worth it?
On cost per gram, comfortably. A 3-gram pen works out at $13–$17 per gram against $40 for a 1-gram cartridge, and it needs no separate battery. The trade-offs are less strain choice and more waste.
How long does a 3-gram vape last?
It depends entirely on how you use it, but three grams is roughly three times a standard cartridge. For most people that is several weeks of moderate use.
Do 3-gram disposables need charging?
Most rechargeable ones do, and you want that feature. A 3-gram pen holds more oil than its battery can vaporise on a single charge, so a non-rechargeable one may die with oil still in it.
What is the difference between distillate and liquid diamonds in a vape?
Distillate is potent but stripped of terpenes, so it is nearly flavourless unless terpenes are added back. Liquid diamonds include THCA crystals in a terpene sauce, which tastes considerably better and costs a little more.
Do you ship vapes across Canada?
Yes, to every province and territory. Canada Post tracked shipping takes 2–3 business days, Express is $25, and UPS/Purolator (1–3 business days to major cities) is $40. Free over $120, vacuum-sealed in a plain unmarked mailer.
3-gram disposables from $40
Three times the oil, a third the price per gram, no battery needed.
